Panos Arvanitakis is a filmmaker, director, producer and photographer. He lives and works in Greece.
Panos Arvanitakis is a filmmaker, director, producer, and photographer. He lives and works in Greece. Part of his photographic archive has been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and Australia. He has directed short fiction films and documentaries that have screened at international film festivals.
His latest film, Proporefsi (2025), was part of the program of the 27th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival in the Open Horizons section and was also selected for the 19th DocFest program. His previous film, Fossils (2019), participated in the international competition section of the 21st Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and was awarded Best Debut Documentary (over 50 minutes) by the Greek Film Centre. The film continued its festival journey at other European festivals and was broadcast by ERT.

The production of the film “Proporefsi” began in November of 2019 and was completed in February 2025. The film was selected to participate in the open horizons section of the 27th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival and was part of the program of the 19th Docfest.

- Scriptwriter, producer, director, director of photography and editor of the 2015 short fiction film “The Runner” – – 22 min. The film was selected by the International Short Film Festival Tous Courts d’ Aix En Provence.
- Scriptwriter, producer, director, director of photography and editor of the 2014 short documentary film “The Shepherd” – 7 min.
- Scriptwriter, producer, director, director of photography and editor of the 2014 short film “The caravan” – 13 min. The film was selected by the International Tangier Mediterranean Short Film Festival.

- Production of the “Home” photo project from June of 2013 until December of 2014. It was presented in a group exhibition at the Casa Bianca Municipal Gallery of Thessaloniki in January 2015 with the same theme and at the Delmar Gallery in Sydney, Australia in May 2015.
- Production of the “Permanent Nomads” photo project from October until March of 2012. It was presented in a solo exhibition at La doze Gallery in Thessaloniki on October of 2012.
